Mission

To promote, protect and advance Uganda's strategic interests to support sustainable industrialization for inclusive growth, employment and wealth creation in the context of Uganda's Foreign Policy in South Sudan.

Mandate

The Mission is mandated to promote and protect Uganda's interests in South Sudan by undertaking strategic programs that underpin the implementation and management of Foreign Policy.

The national interest is encapsulated in the broader themes of National Security, Development, Welfare of Ugandans and enhancement of Uganda's Image Abroad.

Functions of the Embassy

Consequently, the key functions of Uganda Embassy in juba are the following:

1. Trade and export promotion aimed at expanding the market for Ugandan products in South Sudan.
2. Attracting Foreign Direct Investment from the Republic of South Sudan.
3. Promotion of Tourism aimed at increasing the number of tourists from South Sudan.
4. Mobilizing the diaspora community to participate in the development of Uganda through increased remittances and investments, leveraged through platforms with tangible impact.
5. Knowledge and technology transfer through capacity building opportunities, scholarships and exchange programs.
6. Peace and Security cooperation and partnership with the Republic of South Sudan.
